Reading Habits Tag 2020

  1. Do you have a certain place at home for reading? - I have a lovely library room that has my chair and a little cart next to it to hold all my bookmarks and the books I'm currently reading. And I get to look at my bookshelves.
  2. Bookmark or random piece of paper? - I prefer a bookmark, but I'll use whatever is handy. I don't dogear pages.
  3. Can you just stop reading, or do you have to stop after a chapter or a certain number of pages? - I prefer to stop at a break in the narrative, like a chapter or large space, but I can stop after a paragraph if necessary.
  4. Do you eat or drink while reading? - I like to have a little drink handy while reading, but it's not necessary. Any food has to be of the variety that won't leave smudges on my books.
  5. Do you listen to music or watch TV while reading? - Not TV, but I do have some study and reading playlists on Pandora that I listen to while reading if my family/dogs are being noisy.
  6. One book at a time or several at once? - Recently, I have been reading tons of books at once. A little here, a little there. That one during work and this one at bedtime. I don't like it, but that's how my brain is going for now.
  7. Reading at home or everywhere? - Mostly at home, but I don't go many places. I will read at my desk on lunch or whatever. If I have an audiobook going, I'll read in the car. I'll read when my hair is setting at the hairdressers.
  8. Reading out loud or silently in your head? - I hate the sound of my voice, so definitely silently in my head.
  9. Do you read ahead or skip pages? - Only when I'm super bored with a book and I don't care anymore.
  10. Breaking the spine or keeping it like new? - I try to keep it like new because when you break the spine, the binding loosens and you could lose pages.
  11. Do you write in your books? - I'm not against writing in books, but usually, I'm too focused on the story to stop and make notes.

Do you have any interesting answers to these questions?
