Deliberations

I have a dilemma. In the grand scheme of things, it's not a big deal. But with my current brain capacity, it feel insurmountable.

The Tome Topple Readathon started yesterday. I was going to post this yesterday, but I got locked out of my blog. That probably says more than I could put in words about how my brain is getting along.

For Tome Topple, the goal is to read books over 500 pages. My problem is that I'm already in the middle of 5 books, none of which are "tomes". If I start another book to do the readathon, that just adds to my feelings of inadequacy. Currently, I have two books going for work. Let's just put those aside for now. That leaves 3 books I'm reading for "pleasure". One is that book "S." that takes a ton of focus and energy to work out what's going on. I've kind of decided that that one can't be my single focus book because it's so tiring. I've started Reading Jane Austen which is pretty academic. And finally, Assassin's Apprentice which is a fantasy book, which has possibilities for being a single focus book, but is just shy of the required number of pages for the Tome Topply Readathon.

Also, if I switch to a tome to partake of the readathon, I have to choose one. I have a list of books I own that are over 500 pages on my Goodreads page. The problem is that I can't decide what I'm in the mood to read a giant book about right now.

I guess there are actually 2 problems. 1) Do I switch it up to do the Tome Topple Readathon. 2) If so, how do I pick a book???

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
