Library Update October 2020

Once again, I can't tell if I'm shocked at how fast the month is flying by, or shocked at how slowly time is moving. Either way I'm shocked. That part I've nailed down. Whichever it is, it's time to take a peak at my library account.

Checked Out

Giant Days Vols. 12 and 13 by John Allison - We are reaching the conclusion of this fantastic graphic novel series. Volume 14 is the last one. I like to finish things, but I hate saying goodbye. Guess I'll have to reread them.

Giant Days by Non Pratt - Look! Someone wrote a novel of the graphic novel series! How fun!

On Hold

Reading Nonfiction by Kylene Beers and Robert E. Probst - My library doesn't have this book, so I had to request it from a Colorado library. It's been in transit for about 2 weeks, but stuff takes longer in COVID. It's not that I don't have an idea how to read nonfiction, but I always feel like I could improve.

The Governess Game by Tessa Dare - I've been on hold for this for a month and a half. I finally gave up and ordered it from Book Outlet. That order will probably get here from Canada faster than the person who has it checked out will return it.

Long Way Down the Graphic Novel by Jason Reynolds and Danica Novgorodoff - This was my favorite book of 2018 and now it's been made into a graphic novel! Just waiting my turn on the hold list.

Swamp Thing: Twin Branches by Maggie Stiefvater - This might also be a graphic novel, for which I would be eternally grateful. I don't really want to read a whole book about the Swamp Thing, but it's Maggie Stiefvater. If anyone could make the Swamp Thing readable, it would be her.

The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes - I loved the book I read by her last year, and I've heard great things about this one. I'm nervous, though, because I don't particularly care for games plots. Barnes lives in my area, so I feel compelled to give the home town girl a shot.

Fortune and Glory by Janet Evanovich - And once again, we have this long time list-sitter. I hate that I have to have this on hold for months. I guess I could leave it off the list I post, but that doesn't feel genuine. Hopefully next month will be the last time it's on the list.

And that's it! Thank you for looking at my library account with me. Please share any thoughts in the comments!
