Jan 2021 Goodreads Update pt 2

Last week of January! This January didn't seem as interminable as Januaries general seem. Weird.

Anyway, I've added a few books to my TBR since my last Goodreads Update. That last post wasn't really all that long ago, so I guess it's good I didn't get too carried away.

Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid - I really like The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, and I own Daisy Jones and the Six. This one is a lifestyles of the rich and famous type story. Four children of a famous singer throw a party in 1983. Each one of them is dealing with something they aren't sharing with the others. By the end of the night the mansion is in flames and all hell has broken loose.

What We Talk About When We Talk About Books by Leah Price - I really hope this is what it says on the tin. The summary says it contains hope for those of us who feel like our attention span has dwindled to that of a fruit fly.

The Reading Life by C. S. Lewis - Do you sense a trend? I let Goodreads show me recommendations based on my list of books about books. I didn't know this book even existed. It's not one of the ones we regularly see on Lewis' backlist.

Seven Kinds of People You Find in Bookshops by Shaun Bythell - This book promises to be a hilarious depiction of bookshop shoppers and staff as cataloged by the owner of shop in Scotland. Also, there is a cat on the cover.

Outlawed by Anna North - This is billed as True Grit meets The Crucible. Lol. After a year of marriage, Ada still isn't pregnant, which means she is likely to be hanged as a witch. She runs off and joins a feminist outlaw gang called The Hole In the Wall Gang: a gang of outcast women. I'm pretty stoked for this one.

Heartstopper Vol. 3 by Alice Oseman - My library doesn't have this yet. cries in bookless I loved the first two in the series. Hopefully, when I'm desperate for a cinnamon roll of a love story, this will be available.

That's it! That's all I've added in the last couple of weeks. Does anything look good to you from this list?
