Flowery Covers
Today's Top 5 Wednesday topic is books with flowers on the covers. I have noticed a great increase in books with flowery covers, so I felt like this would be pretty easy.
The Marriage Game by Sara Desai - This is a cute, contemporary romance set in the San Francisco Indian community. I expect this book will talk about Indian food and make me very hungry.
The Stationery Shop by Marjan Kamali - This looks like it might be fluffy, but the plot is actually pretty deep. It's about a couple who meets at a stationery shop, but on the eve of their marriage, violence breaks out in their home of Tehran (it's 1953) and he never shows up. 60 years later she gets to confront him.
Snow In May by Kseniya Melnik - This is a set of short stories, but I love the nesting doll image on the cover!
Girl, Serpent, Thorn by Melissa Bashardoust - This was a popular YA novel last year. It also features the YA snake that turned up on a bunch of covers. Since we are soon to have a snake in our own house, I appreciate this nice flowery cover.
Pride and Premeditation by Tirzah Price - This is a reimagining of Pride and Prejudice, but Mr. Bennet owns a detective agency and Mr. Collins is the top agent. Although Elizabeth is the better detective.
The Roses Series by Leila Meacham - My niece recommended this to me. But look at the flowers on the covers!!
Ok. Those are my flowery books for today. Do you have others to recommend?
