Friday Reads 1/21/22
My week has been so wacky, I keep thinking it's actually Saturday.
Posting a Friday Reads is kind of laughable because a haven't felt like reading anything for days. According to Goodreads, I'm 2 books behind schedule. I actually thought it would be more than that. But in the interest of having content to post, and with the idea of actually finishing a book, here's a plan, however unlikely.
Perfectly Parvin by Olivia Abtahi - I started this to offset the drama of the other book I was reading. It's very fluffy and shallow. It's about a boy-crazy teen girl. It's whatever.
You'd Be Home Now by Kathleen Glasgow - This is the drama book I was reading that I had to break up. I think my problem with this book is that every single character is seriously messed up. We know the main character's brother has issues because he was on heroin. Both of their parents are a mess. The main character is a kleptomaniac because of the parents. The next door neighbor boy is a disgusting user. They all suck. I don't care what happens to either of them.
Instructions for Dancing by Nicola Yoon - I listened to about half of this last summer on audio. Now I've got the physical book to try to finish it.
So basically I have half of three books I need to finish. I don't really want to finish any of them, but we'll see if I get my act together.
