February 2022 Wrap Up Pt. 2

After the last update, I managed to finish 4 more books. I read 11 books in February! February! The month with fewer days. Anyway, here are the books I read to round out the month.

Uppity Women

Uppity Women Speak Their Minds by Vicki Leon - Apparently this author has written a whole series of Uppity Women books. This was fine, but I won't be running out to collect the rest of the books.

Midnight In Chernobyl

Midnight In Chernobyl by Adam Higginbotham - This book took the most time to read. Luckily there were some snow days while I was reading this, which afforded me extra reading time. The physics went way over my head, but I basically got the idea in those parts and read for the people and the politics.

Vassa

Vassa In the Night by Sarah Porter - This is a current day retelling of Baba Yaga. It was pretty good. The main character was super angsty, but also pretty badass. It was okay. I am not generally a fan of retellings.

Cousins

The Cousins by Karen M. McManus - I love McManus' writing, so I enjoyed being in this world, even if it wasn't my favorite of her books. The three teen cousins are invited to their estranged grandmother's resort island. When they get there, something isn't right. When they work out what it is, it all suddenly makes perfect sense. People are jerks.

And that's the end of my 11 books for February.
