Friday Reads 9/23/22

Welcome to my 5 day weekend. I'm working two full days next week, and they chose Wednesday and Thursday. So here we are. Reading!!!

Hawthorne Legacy

The Hawthorne Legacy by Jennifer Lynn Barnes - I'm about halfway through this one and I am enjoying it very much. The nasty characters are truly nasty. Rich people problems are always a good time. And Avery's best friend Maxine is hilarious! She doesn't curse, but she substitutes hilarious words. Motherfaxing foxers!

Matrix

Matrix by Lauren Groff - This is the historical fiction about Marie de France who saved an abbey from ruin and disease and turned it into a thriving haven for women that men cannot find. Smash the patriarchy!

Jane

A Companion to Jane Austen by Claudia L. Johnson and Clara Tuite - I'm officially half way through this book. Officially. That includes all the end notes and back matter. The actual pages I'm going to read are much fewer than the official number. So in actuality, I'm over halfway through. I still don't think I'll finish this month, but I am actually making progress.

Secret History

The Secret History by Donna Tartt - My progress is slower with this one. I only read a little bit before bed when I feel like it. I figure once I finish the books that are actually on my TBR, I'll go a little faster with this one. Again, I probably won't finish it this month.

So there are my reading plans for the rest of the month! I'm stoked that I might get the books on my official TBR done. I have plans for my October TBR and mostly, they include making it nearly impossible to finish all of the books. So I'm going to enjoy this win while I have it.
