Friday Reads 10/28/22
Here we are at the last Friday of October. I have one book left on my TBR. I've been reading it all week, but I'm still not even half way through it. Work and family needs have made it difficult to sit down and really get somewhere, so I've only been able to read about 25 pages a day. In a book that is over 700 pages, that's not a big chunk.
Empire of the Vampire by Jay Kristoff - I did in fact, start from where I left off the last time I read this. I didn't have much trouble remembering the characters or figuring out what was going on. I also, borrowed a digital copy of the book from the library. I read the print copy at home in my chair. I read the digital copy at work on my Kindle Paperwhite. I read the digital copy in bed on my Kindle Fire. It works. And I don't have to lug the five pound paper copy to work and back every day.
The Secret History by Donna Tartt - I'm back to working on this to keep up with the reading group online. I need to finish chapter 5 by Sunday.
How to Think: A Survival Guide For a World at Odds by Alan Jacobs - In the event that I get that massive tome read, I will start on this tiny little book. Once again I am attempting to read the short books first, while also getting the ARCs read on time and my book club book.
So yeah, that's what I'm reading this week.
