Friday Reads 12/16/2022
Today is Jane Austen's 247th birthday.
Now that that has been acknowledged let's move on.
I feel like I have done very little reading this week. Probably because I've been reading large books and moving very slowly through them. Also, I am quite busy running around for work and family. Also trying to get enough sleep at night. I have a lovely long weekend coming up. I hope I can get some rest and reading done in among all the Christmas preparations.
Song of Silver, Flame Like Night by Amelie Wen Zhao - I'm almost 25% through this one. It's pretty good. It jumps right into the action. Len is a girl who watched her mother die at the hands of a magician of the invading army. 12 years later, he's after Len now.
The Best American Science-Fiction and Fantasy 2021 - I decided I could finish this one this month if I read a story each day. Then, of course, the next story was about 40 pages long.
The Lazy Genius Way by Kendra Adachi - I have read a whole 9 pages of this. I'm focusing on the longer books that I need to read for deadline reasons. It's very small though, so once I get started on it, it should be a quick one.
I really have no idea what I might pick up if and when I finish these. That seems so far into the future right now.
