Friday Reads 2/24/23

Whew! What a week! I took today off to recover! Anyway, here's what I've got lined up for reading.

Year of the Rabbit

Year of the Rabbit by Tian Veasna - I'm sure I can finish this by the end of the weekend if I just make myself pick it up. It's 380 pages, but it's a graphic novel so I will go fast. Also, then I can cross off another work book. Motivation!

Roses

Roses by Leila Meacham - I am still reading this. I am calling this a slow but steady read. I read a little bit in between chapters of other books or in between other books.

Tokyo

A Death in Tokyo by Keigo Higashino - This is the book I'm focusing on the most. I really enjoy Japanese writing. It's very spare. There are very few descriptions. In this one, a prominent businessman is murdered in a neighborhood nowhere near his work or home. The probably culprit is immediately found, but he gets hit by a truck and is in a coma. The police are trying to confirm that he is or isn't the murderer and one of them is obsessed with figuring out why the victim was in that area at all.

Spy Family

SpyXFamily Vol. 3 by Tatsuya Endo - I read the first volume of this and didn't love it. My child told me I have to at least keep reading until the giant dog shows up, so I got the next 3 in the series. I read vol. 2 today, and I will knock this one out by the end of the weekend. Vol. 4 is still on hold at the library.

After this I have no idea what to pick up next. I'll have to see how I feel.

What are you reading?
