Friday Reads 12/1/2023
Forget everything you've seen on my previous Friday Reads posts. It is all null and void as we get down to the nitty gritty of finishing up all my challenges for the year. Now I am just reading as much as we can from my shelves. If I get to Christmas and things look good for my goals, I'll maybe try to finish something I currently have on hold. But for now, these are my plans.
Why Read? by Mark Edmundson - This is perfect. It's really aimed at academics and it's 170 pages. The reason this is perfect is because I don't care. I can just blaze through it and take in whatever I get. I don't feel like I should be taking notes and annotating. I'm 2/3 through it and everything is fine. I am hoping to finish this this weekend, however it will be a tight squeeze as my weekend is pretty packed.
Four Thousand Weeks: Time Management for Mortals by Oliver Burkeman - It would be a wise choice to read this one next, since I need it to complete a work goal. Since it is taking up space on my shelves, I can also count it as a book from my physical TBR shelves. Two birds. One stone.
The Great Nijinsky: God of Dance by Lynn Curlee - On the off chance that I get some time on my couch, I really want to pick up this one. Just because.
