Friday Reads 4/5/2024
I took today off because my blood sugar is whacked out. I took yesterday off because my chest hurt and all my joints were loose. My body is in revolt about something. I got some good reading time in yesterday and I can probably get more in today. I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon, but mostly that will cut into my naptime.
Not a ton has changed since last week. Let's do this.
Everyone On This Train Is a Suspect by Benjamin Stevenson - I have literally read none of this since last week. I have just felt like listening to podcasts, and I don't really feel guilty about it. I did request a paper copy from the library, but I'm number 40 on the hold list, so I won't be getting that anytime soon. Oh well.
The Great Divide by Cristina Henriquez - I actually did read a little bit in this one. I'm up to the 50% mark. It's very good and I may pick it up when I'm not at work this weekend.
Empire of the Damned by Jay Kristoff - I started this one yesterday and read a quick 50 pages. The pages go fast, but the book goes slow. It has over 700 bible thin pages. Oof!
The likelihood of finishing any of these in the next week is slim, but I may pick up another physical book to read along with Empire.
Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness by Susanna Cahalan - It is hard for me to believe this book came out in 2012. It doesn't seem like it's been that long. Oh well, this is the next book on my 10 Oldest Books challenge.
How's your reading going?
