Friday Reads 4/12/2024
Friday again. Here we are. Let's talk books.
Empire of the Damned by Jay Kristoff - I'm about 150 pages in on this one. So not even a quarter of the book. I'm enjoying it, but it's a big book and my hands hurt after reading for a bit. This is the book I'm reading for my Prediction Bingo prompt and so far, I'm killing it. I've already found 10 of the 16 things on my Bingo board. Probably a couple more if I had paid attention better. I have hopes of getting a blackout on this Bingo board.
A Study In Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro - I am reading this book for my title with 17 letters prompt. This is pretty fun. Jamie Holmes gets a scholarship to a private boarding school in Connecticut and finds that Charlotte Holmes is already a student there. Their families have kept in touch since the days of their great-great-great-grandfathers, but this is the first time they've met. Days later a boy they both despise is murdered and they are being framed. It's fun to watch how the author brought the personalities of the original pair into the 21st century.
Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness by Susannah Cahalan - I really should get this one started. It's not on my readathon TBR, but it is the book for April from my 10 oldest books list. It's not very long.
So there's my week's reading planned out. What are you reading?
