May 2024 Goodreads Update pt. 1
I haven't gone super crazy adding books to my list, but I did add more than I remembered adding. Let's take a look.
The Twilight Garden by Sara Nisha Adams - I have no idea where I saw this that I decided to add it to my list. I have this author's first book on my shelves, but of course, I haven't read it. I think it's a case of "I think I'm going to love it, so let me add all her books. Also, it talks about a walled garden in a city, which gives me Notting Hill vibes, which is great.
Your Presence is Mandatory by Sasha Vasilyuk - A young man in Ukraine goes to war against the Nazis, but after the war, he has to hide his decisions from the KGB. When he dies in 2007, his family finds a letter and all his secrets come out.
The Book That Wouldn't Burn by Mark Lawrence - I have heard amazing things about this one. Also, that cover deserves a frame.
August Kitko and the Mechas From Space by Alex White - A BookTuber I watch read this and really enjoyed it. That's all I remember.
A Daughter of Fair Verona by Christina Dodd - I found this on a Goodreads list. The summary starts "Knives Out meets Bridgerton" and I was sold. It is a retelling of Romeo and Juliet in which the lovers didn't die, but are in fact alive and well and the parents of 7 children. This is about one of those kids.
Heartless Hunter by Kristen Ciccarelli - I liked a fantasy trilogy I read by this author and I have heard this one is fantastic. Also, the cover is stunning. I am an unabashed cover slut.
And that's it! That's everything I've added to my TBR in the last couple weeks. This is a pretty eclectic list, I think.
