Friday Reads 5/24/2024
When you read this, I will most likely be posted up on my sister's couch reading all the books. That's the plan anyway. Hopefully none of this information will be obsolete by then. Or actually, maybe hopefully it IS obsolete by then.
The Idiot by Fyodor Dostoyevsky - This will be on my currently reading pile for a while, yet. At least another month.
The Four Tendencies by Gretchen Rubin - I actually made progress in this one this week! It reads pretty quickly, so I don't think it will take long to get through it.
Brain on Fire by Susannah Cahalan - I really need to get to this one. It was meant to be read in April, but I got bogged down in vampires. Now, we're almost at the end of May and I still haven't read it. It's not very long. It shouldn't take a lot of time. Just pick it up already.
To Fetch a Thief by Spencer Quinn - This is the next book on my 10 oldest books on my shelf challenge. Since I let the last one get away from me, I really should try to slide this one in this month to catch up. I thought I had 2 extra months for catching up, but then I remembered that one of the books on my list The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton which weighs in at almost 850 pages, so I decided to spread that over 2 months. If I don't read two books in a month at some point, I won't finish the challenge.
Also, I'm way behind on my read 50 books from my shelves challenge, so I will be keeping that in mind when I'm packing for this trip.
