Friday Reads on Saturday 11/9/2024
I am on vacation, which means I have no idea what day it is. So I'm a day late with this post. Oh well.

The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton - I'm still picking away at this one. I think I read one chapter this week. Just enough to make sure I knew what the heck was going on, still.

My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows - I finished a book today, so I'm kind of between books. This one will most likely be what I pick up next. It is being made into a movie, so it fulfills that Booklist Queen prompt. I hope it goes quickly. I really need to catch up with my goals.

Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross - I guess I'll grab this one next, since it's the penultimate book on my list for Booklist Queen. The last one is to reread a favorite. This one won a Goodreads choice award for 2023. I have put it off til last because I'm not super keen to read it. When I bought it, it was still not very popular. Then it blew up and everyone has talked about it. Being the contrarian that I am, I like to wait til the fervor has died down to stop turning my nose up. Hopefully it lives up to the hype.
That will probably fill up the week. I do have an extra day off next week, so maybe I can knock out more than I expect. We'll see.
