November Goodreads Update

In my head November is already over. tried to title this post December Goodreads Update, but then I couldn't find the November one. I might be a little exhausted.

I just went to look at my Goodreads to-read list, and I have not added a single thing. So lets talk about something else.

It's my second day at my new job. My view is spectacular. Well, except for the bust station. The station itself is nice, but there are a LOT of unhoused folk that basically camp out there all day. Sometimes they do weird things.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and we are supposed to go to my in-laws' house. I've been asked to bring brussels sprouts. I will have to get up at like 8:00 to get it all done, but since I got up at 6:00 this morning, that will feel like sleeping in. And 6:00 was almost not enough time. The instructions for parking at the Central library said to leave extra time for getting into the parkade because there is frequently a line. Also, I know there is frequently traffic backed up at the various interchanges I have to navigate. So I left at 7:00. I pulled into the parking spot at 7:25. You can't go in the building until 8, so I had to chill in my car for half an hour. Next time I'll wait until 7:15, which helps with that feeling of rushing I hate so much in the morning. I do better when I have time to get ready, but I also love sleep and don't want to wake up at a time that starts with a 5.

Right now I'm waiting for password verification so I can log into the websites I need to get into to do my actual job.

I am reading books, but I'll tell you about those on Friday.
