Goodreads Update February 2025
Unlike last month's update, this one will be short and sweet. I only added 5 books to my Want-to-Read list on Goodreads. Let's get right to it.

Built From the Fire: The Epic Story of Tulsa's Greenwood District, America's Black Wall Street: One Hundred Years in the Neighborhood that Refused to Be Erased - Victor Luckerson - The Oklahoma History Librarian has several book clubs, so she has piles of books around her desk of the books for those clubs. This is one of those books. This came out in May 2023, but I hadn't heard of it before.

A Reader's Books of Days: True Tales From the Lives and Works of Writers for Every Day of the Year by Tom Nissley - I love a good "one-a-day" book. I'm currently going through a book of poetry that has one poem for every night of the year.

Bibliophobia: A Memoir - by Sarah Chihaya - I heard an interview with the author on a Book Riot podcast. This is a memoir through books of the author's childhood and adulthood and how books shaped her.

Universality by Natasha Brown - This is a weird story about a journalist who is trying to figure out what happened the night a guy at a rave in the English countryside was bludgeoned to death with a gold bar. She figures it out, but then the story really gets started. I read about this in Oh, Reader magazine.

Apprentice to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer - This is the sequel to Assistant to the Villain that I read earlier this month. I really liked that one and I'm excited to continue with these characters.
And that's it! Remarkable restraint, really.
