Spring TBR
Just for grins I thought I'd share some thoughts about my reading plans for Spring. I'm not a huge fan of Spring, per se. It's better than Summer, but people I love really suffer the allergies during Spring. At the end of Spring, the temperature becomes disrespectful, which I dislike. But you know what I do like? Reading! Luckily, I can read all year.
A thing that happens to me is that I will think, "Oh! I want to be sure to read that book when I'm finished with this one." And then I will forget about that book completely. Perhaps if I set it in e-writing, I will at least have a place to refer to if I want to see what I thought, once upon a time.
Since this is the last week of March, and I already have my plan set for this month, I will just go ahead and begin with April plans.
I need to choose a shelf for April. I'm thinking April might be a good month to read some Historical Fiction. I've read a couple of library books this month that are Historical Fiction and that is appealing to me right now. None of the books on this shelf are on my 10 Oldest Books list, so I can go back and read one from a section of the shelves I've already read, like nonfiction or Jane Austen. There are plenty in those shelves.
There are several library books that will probably come in for me in April so I will try to squeeze those in. I haven't really been reading as many books as I usually do in a month, so it could be difficult to get them all in.
For May I think I will read from my Books and Reading shelf. There is a book from my 10 Oldest Books list on this shelf and it is a chunker. Oh wait. I just looked it up on Goodreads and it's only 352 pages. Well that's good news. When I tell you the hardcover looks like a brick... So I might get to read more than one book from this shelf. There are some I'm excited about.
There will, of course, be library books that come in. Those will require attention as well. And there is no telling this far out which ones are likely to come. But when I started putting requests on library books, I knew this would happen. I signed up for this.
And for June, I plan to conquer my piddly Science Fiction shelf. There aren't very many books on this shelf, but they tend to be quite lengthy. There is one book that is on the 10 Oldest list, so that squares that away nicely. And it's not stupid-long. It's only regular-long.
So that's that. A rough plan for Spring Reading.
Stay tuned this week for March end-of-month posts and my April TBR.
