Friday Reads 5/6/2025

I am struggling today. My hands are swollen and painful for whatever reason, and I poured chocolate coffee creamer in my cereal this morning. We'll see if I can get this post written.

Trejo by Danny Trejo - I'm almost 2/3 through this one. It reads pretty quickly, but I haven't had as much reading time as I expected this week. For two days, I didn't read a single word. Danny's acting career is just beginning and he's appeared in several movies and TV shows, while still working in recovery.

Bring Up the Bodies by Hilary Mantel - I have taken this book to lunch with me every day this week. I haven't even opened it. Yesterday, I just stared at the wall. I feel like I'm off my feed. I'm trying to decide if I should soft DNF it and put it back on the shelf.

After I finish Trejo, I'll spin my spinner and see what sci-fi book I'll be reading first. I'll let you know.
