Reading In/Out
Y'all. I'm struggling. This post usually goes up on Tuesday. I went home from work early Tuesday with a migraine. Wednesday, I woke up and still had the damn headache. I couldn't put my finger on it, but I didn't feel right. I called out of work and went back to bed. I thought maybe I was dehydrated so I drank a ton of hydration stuff and took 3 naps. Finally it occurred to me that I felt sick, without the side symptoms. No fever, no congestion, no drippy nose. Just chills and fatigue. I called out again today, but I feel a little better. I've been sitting upright for almost 3 hours now. So here I am posting this update.

Trejo: My Life of Crime, Redemption, and Hollywood by Donal Logue - I finished this Saturday night. I really liked it. He is very focused on recovery and helping other people through recovery. All his other pursuits have been in support of that main passion. He got involved in acting to bring attention to the recovery groups he was working with. I saw an interview that he did in April. He now also has a dog rescue project. I think he was 8 dogs. For one of his movies, he had to go back to San Quentin to film. Right in the same hallway he was housed in when he was there. Amazing.

Leviathan Wakes by James S.A. Corey - I know you were wondering what book the spinner wheel chose for me. Wonder no longer. It chose this behemoth. I am now almost halfway through. It reads pretty quickly. It's both a space adventure and a mystery. I don't really understand a lot of the descriptions of the ships, but I'm not sure anyone really knows what those things are. They don't actually exist. I don't think. It is told in two perspectives: one is a guy that is in control of a little ship that whenever he flies it away from a bigger ship, someone blows up the biggger ship. The other guy is a detective on a major space station who has been tasked with finding the missing daughter of a rich and powerul family.
That's it. I finally decided to put Bring Up the Bodies on the shelf for later. I haven't found something to read at lunch, yet. On the other hand, I haven't been at work to partake of lunch.
