Summer TBR
Having a Spring TBR on this blog helped me a lot over the season, so I'm going to put down a Summer one. When I couldn't remember which shelf I had decided on for a month, I went back to that post and checked. Let me help future Adrienne, but setting out some plans to refer to and either follow or blow up. At least it's direction.
According to my calendar, Summer starts Saturday. Now is the time to make the plan.

JULY
My Spring post was for April through June, so the Summer one will be July through September. I think in July, I'lll assign myself the Contemporary shelf. These are all books set in recent years. Some of the books have been on the shelf for so long, they are no longer recent, but when they were written, they were contemporary. There are about 45 books on the Contemporary shelf, so there are plenty to choose from.
I do have a book on this shelf from the 10 Oldest Books List, so I will put that one on the list.
AUGUST
I feel like Young Adult is a good shelf for August. August is miserable. I don't want to be reading things that require a lot of brain power. I won't have the energy for that noise. I actually have 3 YA shelves, sort of. I have a section for fantasy, a section for contemporary, and a section for nonfiction.
I don't have a YA book on my 10 Oldest Books List, so I will have to choose something different. There are two books on the list that are nonfiction books, but we've already done that list. Two months will have Oldest Books on the list that don't match the shelf for that month. Honestly, I'm surprised by how many actually do match up. Anyway, I will read one of those books in August.
SEPTEMBER
For September, I believe I will assign myself the Classics shelf. That whole back-to-school vibe is still strong in September. What's more school-ish than Classic literature?
This is another month that doesn't have a matching 10 Oldest Book to match. Of course, I will choose the other nonfiction book on the list.
There are still a couple of library books that I'm waiting on. Who knows when they will show up. We will burn that bridge when we get to it.
There. That feels better. A Plan!
