Friday Reads 9-19-2025

It is talk like a pirate day. Since I cannot talk like a pirate much at work, I will attempt to do it here.

I 'ave readin' plans fer the weekend. Let me tell ye about 'em.

The Love Haters by Katherine Center - I be goin' t' finish dis one today. No I'm done. I can't keep up the pirate thing. But I am going to finish this one today. I am currently 86% through it and what with tonight being Nerd Nite, I will have more time in the car to listen. Two books in one week? Who even am I? They were both audiobooks, but whatever.

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer - I will read more of this at lunch tomorrow. I'm almost at 25%. Tomorrow's lunch is only 30 minutes, so I won't get much read, but it will be some.

Navigating Difficult Situations in Public Libraries by Margaret Ann Paauw - I actually read a chapter of this today. I still have 4 chapters and a conclusion to go. Maybe I'll read more tomorrow. Whenever I start to read it, I get distracted by all the other things I need to be doing. I can't remember what I need to do until I start reading this book and then they all come flooding back. Weird.

Now I Rise by Kiersten White - I feel like with a bit of concerted effort, I could finish this off. I'm 65% through it. It's large but it reads fast. My Sunday is pretty busy after noon, but maybe I can read in the morning. Monday is busy until about 1. Then I just sit and wait for the Heat and Air Guy to come. Hopefully reading time.

The Mercy of the Sky by Holly Bailey - This is lowest priority, just because it's the one I started later than the other 3 print books. I'm not even half way through it. But hey, if I do manage to finish the Dracul book, I'll get a bit more read in this one.

And there you have it. My reading plans for the weekend.
