Library Update September 2025
I can't believe we are already wrapping up September. I feel like it just started. I must have dissociated for a couple of weeks.
Anyway, here's what my library account looks like right now.
I currently have no books checked out!
ON HOLD

Self-Care for People with ADHD: 100+ Ways to Recharge, De-Stress, and Prioritize You! by Sasha Hamdani, MD - One of my coworkers read this. I am trying to find motivation to take care of myself. My autism brain craves a schedule and routine. My ADHD brain hates the constraint of a routine. I rebel against my own self. We'll see if this has any brilliant ideas. I am first on the list.

Strange Houses by Uketsu - This is a mystery thriller told in floor plans. I have been a floor plan nerd since I was a kid. I love them. I am third on the list for this, but we only have 2 copies, so I'll be waiting a bit.

Replaceable You: Adventures in Human Anatomy Mary Roach - This just came out and we are still waiting for our copies. This is about all the body parts science has figured out how to replace. I'm 12th on the list and we have 6 copies. That doesn't actually mean anything until the book actually makes it into circulation.

Hidden Libraries by DC Helmuth - Still with this book. At least I know now what the issue is. They ordered it from Ingram which is having trouble getting books from the publishers. I don't know who they pissed off, but some publishers are being stingy with Ingram. Maybe one day the purchasers will move it to the other distributer and we'll actually get a copy.
So that's it. Hopefully they don't all end up showing up at once.
