Friday Reads 10/10/2025
Friday. Holy wow, what a week! My schedule got all whacked out by a staff training day on Monday which I usually have off. I took Wednesday off instead and ended up running around like a crazy person to get everthing done, which I still didn't. I've done a little reading, and hopefully I'll get some more done this weekend.

Brave New World by Aldous Huxley - I'm finally half way through this. It has suddenly gotten weird. Our main characters are visiting an Indian Pueblo in New Mexico, where they have found a British woman that was accidentally left there 20 years ago. I'm not sure what is going to happen next.

Self-Care for People with ADHD by Sasha Hamdani, MD - I think when I finish this, I'm going to give it to my kids. I think there is a lot in here that we be helpful for both of them.

Empire of the Dawn by Jay Kristoff - I am almost a quarter of the way through this now. It has 800 pages, but it feels longer. Oh, I guess I didn't speed up the audio like I usually do. That might be why it seems so slow. Also, the narrator just changed. I read the first two books on paper, so I don't remember if any of it was told in another perspective. When the narrator changes from a man to a woman, it's more obvious.
And that's where we are. I don't want to commit to what I will read after I finish Brave New World because I just got 2 library books in that I accidentally slipped and put on hold. We'll see what happens.
