Reading In/Out 11/4/2025

I feel like I actually read a good chunk this weekend! An RA flare kept me home all day Sunday, so I had extra reading time.

OUT

Faithful Place by Tana French - I finished this on Friday, the last day of October, which means it didn't carry over into the next month! Woohoo!

IN & OUT

Cat + Gamer, Volume 8 by Wataru Nadatani - This took me about 30 minutes Saturday evening. I did not know this would be the last one in the series! Luckily there was an ad at the back of the book for the next series by this author: Cat + Crazy. I assure I have already received my copy from the library.

CONTINUING

The Invention of Charlotte Bronte by Graham Watson - I jumped right back into this one when I finished Faithful Place. I am now halfway through it and Charlotte has already died of hyperemesis gravidarum. I guess now we're going to read about how all her friends capitalized on her fame and created the legacy of Charlotte Bronte.

The Island of Sea Women by Lisa See - I am still on track to finish this by book club Friday. I'm a little worried about Thursday since I have work and then bells, and not a lot of reading time. Maybe tomorrow I'll try to read extra.

Empire of the Dawn by Jay Kristoff - Remember how I said I should get the paper copy of this today and I'd probably finish it this week? Yeah. About that. I got the shipping notice for the book. It's scheduled to deliver on Nov. 10. Gah! I am almost 90% through the audiobook. I will most likely finish the audiobook before the paper book gets here. Oh well. Guess I'll just look at the pictures and put it on my shelf.

I'm pretty sure that's everything. I'm still 5 books behind schedule, but it's whatever. Hopefully I can get more serious reading time in.
