Friday Reads 12/26/2025

Hello from the other side of Christmas! I did not read anything at all for 2 solid days. It's been very busy. Christmas Eve we got my son's car out of the shop before we ran off to the church for the entire evening. On Christmas morning, I randomly posted on Facebook that we are selling a car, if anyone is interested. It turns out, people are very interested. So I've been taking pictures and compiling maintenance documents and communicating with prospective buyers. What a whirlwind!

All of that is to say that nothing has changed since Tuesday.

The 33 by Hector Tobar - I'm still about 30% into this. The mine collapse has happened. Preliminary rescue events have happened, and both the rescuers and the trapped miners have realized that it will probably take several days to get them out. The families, mainly women, have posted up outside the gates to the mine to remind the powers that be that those men need to be rescued.

May Contain Murder by Orlando Murrin - I am almost finished with this one. I believe I can finish it tomorrow at the latest. It's pretty entertaining. I'm not mad that I chose it.

Hearts in Circulation by Sarah Monzon - This is lined up as my next audiobook when I finish the Murder one. Won't require too much brain.

I haven't picked out anything to read after The 33. I'm not far enough through this one to be useful. By the time I finish that one, I may no longer be interested in the one I picked. Moods are a struggle.

Anyway, that's my reading for the weekend. I have next week off, so hopefully I will have reading time between all the appointments and shopping trips.
