Library Update December 2025

I think I ran out of time last month, and didn't post a library update. You didn't miss much. It's pretty quiet in there. But let's review.

I don't have anything checked out at the moment. I'm just patiently waiting my turn for the books on hold.

ON HOLD

The King's Ransom by Janet Evanovich - This is the second book in a spinoff series from the Stephanie Plum series I've been reading for years. I read the first one a few years ago, and enjoyed it. This one came out this year and is apparently popular as I've been on the waiting list for a hot minute. I'm number 5 on the list. We have about 24 copies, so hopefully soonish?

Replaceable You by Mary Roach - The library is still waiting for this one to show up. The main distribution company the library ordered from went out of business, so the library is frantically trying to transfer orders to another broker. Who knows how long it will take. I am number 10 on the list and we are ordering 7 copies.

Hidden Libraries by DC Helmuth - This book has finally made it into circulation. I have seen it in person! I am number 19 on the list, but we have 11 copies.

My Mexican Favorites by Zachary Rodriguez - To be honest, I don't hold out much hope that these recipes will actually be easy. When you are a professional chef, you loose touch with what is easy to the average bear. If nothing else, I will enjoy looking at the pictures. Right now, it's still on order, so who knows when it will make its way to me.
