Friday Reads 2/13/2026

Well hello there, Friday. You snuck up on me. I'm still feeling scattered, so it's no surprise that I was unaware. Let's talk books.

Hidden Libraries by DC Helmuth - I am almost finished with this one. Maybe 20 pages left. It's fascinating. I really like the pictures of the libraries, of course.

Passions in Death by JD Robb - I finished listening to the last audiobook in the middle of my work in the basement yesterday, so I just downloaded the next one and kept going. I'm listening to the series in reverse, but it doesn't effect the experience too much. In this one, some side characters are decorating a new house that they move into in a later (earlier?) book that I've already read.

Medicine River by Mary Annette Pember - I'm going to start this one at lunch today. I promise. Right after I finish this post.

My weekend is pretty clear after Saturday. Tonight is Book Club, although there may only be 2 of us there. Tomorrow night we are doing a valentines board game night. Mike and I don't like to go out on "amateur nights" (those nights when everyone and their cousin is out clogging the restaurants) so we will do our valentines date some other time. Sunday, I just have the usual bells and dance from 4-7. Monday I have one appointment and then bell rehearsal in the evening. If I can get through my chores, I might have time to read!
