Reading In/Out 2/17/2026

I realize I didn't post an in/out post last week, so this will be petty intense. Buckle up. In fact, I haven't done one of these all month. Maybe get a snack before you buckle up.

OUT

Bonded In Death by J. D. Robb - This was great. I'll say more when it's not after midnight. Hopefully in a wrap up.

Half a Soul by Olivia Atwater - This was cute. I feel like a lot of it could have been more fleshed out. The falling in love was too quick. The sass was good. I always enjoy a woman being sassy to a man who thinks he is smarter and better.

Framed in Death by J. D. Robb - I am of the opinion that the narrator of these books is the best in the business. She nails all the accents, and she can even do the voice of a character talking with their mouth full.

Hidden Libraries by DC Helmuth - For a book with this quality of production, it really should not have had so many typos. Seriously.

Passions In Death by J. D. Robb - Ok. I'm officially hooked. Halfway through this one the detectives had narrowed the suspect list to two: a woman and a man. I knew at that point that it was the man, for no other reason than that Robb loves a male murderer. That's not to say the murderer is always a man, but it usually is.

IN

Medicine River Mary Annette Pember - I have finally started this! I've read almost a quarter of it. It's pretty rough reading. It's a tough topic. White men are gross. Religious white men are incredibly gross.

Random In Death by J. D. Robb - Surprise! I finished the last one as I pulled into the driveway tonight, and immediately downloaded the next one. I may or may not have a chance to start it tomorrow. I am off work, and my kid wants to go to the cat shelter, so I may not spend any time alone in the car. But I will definitely start it Thursday at the latest.

And that's it. Thank you audiobooks for making sure I will meet my reading goal this year.
