Friday Reads 3/13/26
It's Friday. Not that that means much when you have to work Saturday AND Sunday. Ugh. There goes my reading time.

The Last Bookaneer by Matthew Pearl - And we're back to this one. I'm still almost halfway through. Whenever I sit down to read, one of two things happens: someone comes to talk to me, or I fall asleep. I don't think it's the book, other than it's pretty calm for a story about book pirates. I would probably enjoy it more if I could read more than 20 pages at a go. But, I keep after it.

Encore In Death by J.D. Robb - This one I'm moving along in. I'm 63% through it. With all the driving I'm doing this weekend, I'll probably finish it off. This is the one about the movie star who gets poisoned in his own house. But was the poison meant for him, or for his wife, the Broadway star?
Tonight is Book Club. I work tomorrow. I don't have plans for Saturday night, because my hubby has COVID and no one wants to hang out with us. Sunday morning I am being a substitute bell ringer at my friend's church. It's Catholic, so this will be interesting. Then I work all afternoon. I have a dance rehearsal, and then I go home and collapse. Monday afternoon I am going to get all the taxes done. Then there's bell rehearsal.
I'm tired just thinking about it.
