Friday Reads 5/1/2026
May first. Beltane. A full moon. No wonder I'm wiped. But books!

Connections In Death by J.D. Robb - I am 73% of the way through this one. It's almost over. It's pretty convoluted. Hence the title. I think I'm keeping track of who everyone is, how they're connected, their gang names, and which ones have beef with who.

Morgue: A Life in Death by Dr. Vincent DiMaio and Ron Franscell - This is a memoir by a guy who was the Chief Medical Examiner in San Antonio, I think. He was part of some pretty important cases, like Trayvon Martin. I'm less than 100 pages in. It's not real page turner-y, but I also haven't had more than half an hour at a time to devote to reading, so that might be why it seems slow. This is one of the oldest books on my TBR shelves.

Glory In Death by J.D. Robb - My hold for the audiobook finally came in. When I finish Connections in Death, I'll start this one. It's number 2 in the series.
I should have a little more reading time this weekend than last. Tomorrow night we have game night, so that's out. Sunday I don't have to be anywhere until 6:00. Yay for a lazy Sunday! Monday I have 2 medical appointments and then a concert to ring. Maybe between the appointments and the concert, I can squeeze in some reading. I might just take a nap.
