Goodreads Update
I've been trying to post a Goodreads Update for several weeks, but something always came up. I figure now is as good a time as any. Plus, it's an excellent way to put off doing the May wrap up.

Alchemised by SenLin Yu - Back in April, I had a doctor's appointment and I had finished my book. I did not have a backup book. I decided to get an ebook from the library and read it on my phone while I waited. I read enough to decide to go ahead and put it on my TBR. It has over 1000 pages, so ebook might be the way to go with this one.

Femme Feral by Sam Beckbessinger - This is about a middle-aged, ambitious, working mother as she hits perimenopause age. Except instead of that, she's turning into a werewolf. I mean, a lot of the symptoms are the same: hair growing in weird places, overheating, trouble sleeping, etc.

It's Hard to Be an Animal by Robert Isaacs - Henry is a quiet, unassuming, beta male, who suddenly starts hearing animals talk. He tries to ignore it until he overhears some New York City rats talking about a dead body in a subway tunnel. Now, not only does he have to deal with far too many voices, he has to avoid the murderers.

Voyagers by Meg Charlton - When Earth starts to get a signal from outer space, Alex is whisked back to when he and another 6-year-old, Ana were abducted by Aliens. To deal with his feelings about the current situation, he tracks down Ana, who is a professional advocate for alien abduction victims.

The Tapestry of Fate by Shannon Chakraborty - This is the sequel to a book I already own, but haven't read. It's about a woman pirate. That's all I know.

The Everlasting by Alix E. Harrow - I have liked Harrow's other books, so I added this one as soon as I saw it.

A Novel Love Story by Ashley Poston - Eileen (Elsy, rather unfortunately) is on her way to her book club's annual retreatwhen her car breaks down in a little town straight out of a romance novel. No really. It's the setting of her favorite romance author's unfinished last novel. She believes she is there to find the town's happily-ever-after. I am not entirely sold on this one. I like some romance, so we'll see.

The Charmed Library by Jennifer Moorman - I am reserving judgment on this one, too. Stella is a librarian in a little town for whom words have always been animate. They stand out to her and seep from people. She is stunned, though, when book characters start walking around in her library. They can only stay for 14 days. Her first crush, a character from her favorite novel, is the first character she notices and they are in a race against time. To do what, I'm not sure.

Or What You Will by Jo Walton - We have another character-comes-alive story here. He is a character in the mind of author Sylvia who has written 30 books over 40 years. She's working on a new fantasy and he thinks he knows how they can run away together.

Break Room by Miye Lee - This is about a reality show set in an office break room where all the contestants have been voted "most annoying colleague" by their in-real-life coworkers.

New York by Edward Rutherfurd - Apparently, I am on an Edward Rutherfurd kick. I found this at the used bookstore and grabbed it.
Ok, that's all the new stuff, for now. Anything interesting?
