Reading In/Out 6/9/2026

Whoo boy. I am reading far too many books at once. This is a sign of stress for me, but I'm doing it anyway. Let's recap.

OUT

The Accidental Law Librarian by Anthony Aycock - I finished this up on Saturday at work. I read the last two chapters, but I didn't have to take any notes because it was pretty pointedly aimed at law firm librarians. So yay!

Literature in Lives: Talking About Texts From Shakespeare to Phillip Pullman by Richard Jacobs - I am so proud that I got all the way through this one. This reminded me so thoroughly of all those literature classes I took in college where everyone nattered on about themes and what does this really mean? Some of it was witty, but mostly it was about books I've never read.

CONTINUING

The Assassin's Blade by Sarah J. Maas - Still poking about through this one. I took it to dance on Sunday and read a few chapters.

Life After Death by Damien Echols - I have made it past the half way mark in this. With this and the Assassin's Blade one, I read whichever one I'm in the mood for when I get a little reading time.

IN

Read This to Look Cool by Maeve Dunigan - This is a collection of personal essays and they are highly entertaining. She reminds me of Sarah Vowell and Jenny Lawson. Also, she has the same name as my car.

The King's Ransom by Janet Evanovich - Here's a blast from the past. I checked this out again. I started it at lunch. I had to start from the beginning because I don't have any idea where I was when I stopped reading last time.

I think that's everything. I'm reading nothing fast. Well, except for the audiobooks. I'm flying through those because I spend so much time in my car.
