Reading In and Out

Well, I made it through the weekend. I was correct about not a lot of reading time, but I did get some in. Let's recap.

I didn't post an In and Out last week, so this will be 2 weeks' worth of info. Lucky you.

OUT

Just Plain Filthy: The Story Behind Book Banning's Trial of the Century by Anthony Aycock - This is the one I told you about that mentioned my colleague and I had a fangirl moment. It was interesting for 224 pages, or however many it was, but I'm glad it wasn't longer.

Break Room by Miye Lee - This was so short, I listened to the whole thing in 2 days. It is about a guy who is nominated to be on a reality TV show. He finds out when he gets there that it is because he is considered the one person at his work that no one wants to share a break room with. The other contestants were nominated for the same thing. They each have an annoying thing that their colleagues all hate. It's pretty funny, and I would actually watch a show like this.

Everyone in this Bank is a Thief by Benjamin Stevenson - This series is so fun and hilarious that it's easy to ignore the fact that it took a LOT of planning to write. The main character breaks the fourth wall continuously, which I find hilarious. And in the end, he is correct, everyone in that bank has stolen something from someone. Including him. The end was over the top and includes a fake funeral.

CONTINUING

The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss - I am within 150 pages of finishing this one. It's so close. I'm right at the 80% mark. If I focus I might be able to finish it this week.

The Night Tiger by Yangsze Choo - Yeah, I haven't picked this up in a couple of weeks. I'm really trying to finish the other one. But when I do, this will be top priority.

The Second Sleep by Robert Harris - I think I told you about this on Friday. But since then, this book has blown my mind. There's a dog on the cover, but so far a dog has not appeared. That doesn't bode well for the dog. That being said, I am absolutely gripped by this weird story. I am exactly half way through it.

IN

The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster - The new Reading Challenge I'm doing has a prompt to read a chapter book you missed as a kid. I didn't miss a lot of books as a kid, so this was a touch difficult. Luckily, I found this one. I think I was scared of the word Phantom. Anyway, this will be my lunch time reading for a bit.

There you have it. I'm not even going to attempt to predict what I will feel like reading when I finish any one of these things.
