Friday Reads 8/28/2026

Friday! Tomorrow is the beginning of another busy weekend. But I truly hope to be able to finish a book, anyway.

When the Moon Hits Your Eye by John Scalzi - I didn't get as much reading time as I would have like this week, so I'm still sitting at about the 50% mark. I did read for about 20 minutes the other evening while dinner cooked, but not much more than that. It's still really entertaining, though.

Valiant Ambition by Nathaniel Philbrick - I'm sort of waffling on this one. I can't read more than 10 pages during a regular lunch break. It's not really the sort of book you can do that with. I'm not giving up yet, but I don't know how long this one with last.

Strange Houses by Uketsu - If I do finish the cheese book, I will probably grab this one next. It's short, and a friend of mine recently read it and loved it.

Tomorrow, we have game night after work. No reading. Sunday has nothing scheduled until 4:00 when I have bell rehearsal. I have a little time to read between bells and dance, but once I get home from dance it's a little wild. We're getting ready for the next week. Monday I have an appointment at 11:00 and then I'm getting my hair done at 1:30. That will commandeer the entirety of the afternoon. I hope to get to read in the evening.

Stay tuned tomorrow for the September TBR post that I have definitely already planned. (ahem)
