Library Update September

I haven't really bothered sharing my library account recently, because nothing of interest has been happening there. Well, there are actually a couple of things on the go there, so I'll share today.

CHECKED OUT

Humble Pi: When Math Goes Wrong in the Real World by Matt Parker - I couldn't just let this go. I felt the need to read it immediately. Luckily, my library had a copy hanging around.

ON HOLD

Mystery Play by Elizabeth Kostova - This is sort of a sequel to The Historian. It follows the main character's son after her death. This comes out October 13, but I'm sure it will be much longer before our copy starts circulating. I am number 5 on the list.

Split Second: Thirty-two Switcheroo by Janet Evanovich - This comes out in November. I was getting very concerned last month when it still wasn't available in our catalog. I emailed our buyer who assured me it is on the purchase list, but since publishing is so crazy right now, and we are trying to open a new library next month, the buyers are waiting til closer to publish date to order. I got an email last week that she has ordered it and put me first on the request list. Woohoo! It's all about who you know!

Elder Race by Adrian Tchaikovsky - I talked about this in yesterday's post. I'm first on the list, but all the copies were due last week. C'mon people! It's a 200-page book! Grump, Grump, Grump.
