Friday Reads 11/6/26

Me all day.
Let's talk about books.

Fatal Remedies by Donna Leon - I am nearly 3/4 of the way through, and it's really good. I just love this series. I won't finish it this weekend, most likely, but in the next week, perhaps?

Bodies of Magic by Freya Marske - I am right at the 50% mark on this audiobook. Every single one of the characters in this book is an asshole. But they are thrown together to take their final medical exam before becoming official healers. Now they also have to figure out who murdered their top student. It's pretty gross, medically. Not gonna lie. But since I'm rarely eating while I'm listening, it is ok.

One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig - This is the one I'm really hoping to make progress on this weekend. When I get time to read, the pages turn pretty quickly. I like our main character, and the adventure is beginning in earnest now.
Today is my birthday, so there will be festivities. But not too many because I have to work tomorrow. Tomorrow night is game night, so no reading then. Sunday, I will have some time until I have to go to bell rehearsal at 3:00. I usually don't get reading time after dance because there are chores to do. The plumber is coming Monday morning; I will have to be awake for that, so I could read then. I have a single appointment on Monday, and I have the afternoon free before bell rehearsal in the evening. There are several opportunities for making progress. We'll see what other little fires crop up to prevent my reading.
